Shoutout to the gas station off I-95 where my car vanished for a minute

I was driving home to Jacksonville late last night and stopped for a drink. I parked my blue Civic, went inside, and came out maybe three minutes later. My car was just gone from the spot... I stood there totally confused. Then I blinked, and it was back in the exact same place, like it never moved. The guy at the counter said he saw me walk to it the whole time. Has anyone else had something just disappear and reappear like that?

Sounds like your Civic took a quick interdimensional pit stop. Maybe it needed a better view. Amy_carr5 is right about that glitch feeling, but a whole car is next level. The gas station guy probably sees this stuff every Tuesday. You just got the standard issue time slip, nothing to worry about.

Honestly, check your tire pressure next time you fill up. That weird, sudden lurch feeling can sometimes be a low tire going flat for a second before it seals again... makes the whole car feel like it jumped. Seen it happen with a few clients' cars. The blinking thing just lines up with the weird timing of it all. Gas station guy probably thought you were just zoning out.

That part about blinking and it being back in the exact same place is so wild. I mean, I haven't had it happen with a whole car, but I've totally lost my keys like that. I'll put them down, turn around, and they're just gone, then a second later they're right where I looked. It's such a weird feeling, like your brain just glitched for a second.
