My uncle told me to always check the clock twice during a thunderstorm

He said if the numbers look wrong or frozen, something weird is about to happen. Last Tuesday in Portland, a storm rolled in and my kitchen clock read 3:17 for a full five minutes while my phone showed 3:22. Right after, my neighbor knocked to return a book I'd lost two years ago. Do you think some advice like this is just coincidence, or are there real patterns to these small glitches?

My old microwave clock got stuck at 4:04 during a storm once, and the next day my basement flooded. I don't ignore those glitches anymore.

Hold up, your neighbor returned a book from two years ago? That's wild on its own lol. I'd say these glitches are probably just weird luck, but after hearing stuff like that it makes you wonder. Maybe our brains just connect dots after the fact.
