I used to think the Mandela Effect was just bad memory, but one thing changed my mind.

For years, I laughed at people who swore the Monopoly man had a monocle. I saw a vintage game box from 1975 at a yard sale last month, and the guy on it looked totally wrong to me. I checked online when I got home, and sure enough, he never had one. That specific, shared false memory from so many people feels like more than just forgetting. Has anyone else had a moment like that with a specific detail?

Feel you on that. I mean, I still swear I saw that monocle too, so maybe my brain is just broken. @campbell.stella, the Berenstain thing messed me up for a solid week.

Ugh, yes! The Berenstain Bears thing is the one that really got me. I had to go dig my old books out of my parents' attic because I was so sure it was spelled with an 'e'. My whole childhood felt like a lie for a minute there.
