Hot take: Our family's constant deja vu moments are more than just coincidence
Every holiday, my uncle tells the same story, but last time he told a completely different one that no one recognized. Everyone brushed it off as him being forgetful, but it felt like reality shifted. Has anyone had a relative's core memory change out of nowhere?

Wait, isn't that just how family stories evolve over time?

Been seeing this too. Not just stories evolving over time. One person's wrong memory can spread fast. Like my aunt insisting on pumpkin pie for Christmas when it was apple. After she said it, half the family agreed. Our brains sync up, rewriting the past.

Sounds like your family just really likes pie. But seriously, is this brain sync thing actually a problem, or just people being forgetful and agreeable? It's not like anyone got hurt over the dessert mix-up. These little memory glitches happen all the time and usually don't matter at all.
