TIL about the 'glass floor' at the Willis Tower in Chicago

I was reading an article about how they keep those clear ledges clean and safe. They use a special non slip coating that gets reapplied every 18 months, and the cleaning crew has to use specific, non abrasive cleaners. It made me think about how we handle big commercial jobs with special coatings. What's the most unusual glass maintenance job you've ever been on?

Used to think those glass floors were just a tourist gimmick, honestly. Reading about the actual upkeep changes that. That's a serious maintenance plan, not just a quick wipe down. Makes you respect the engineering more when you learn what keeps it safe. The most unusual job I saw was cleaning the slanted glass on a modern art museum, felt like you were defying gravity. Makes the Willis Tower crew seem like real pros, doesn't it?

Yeah it's wild how much work goes into stuff we just walk over. Reminds me of a friend who worked on those glass walkways in the mountains, said the wind would just about pick you up while cleaning.
