I dropped $250 on a new glory hole door and it's already warped

Got it from a supplier in Phoenix about a month ago, thinking it would help with heat control on my furnace. The thing started bending after just two weeks of normal use, and now it doesn't seal right at all. Has anyone found a brand that actually holds up to the heat?

What kind of furnace are you running, and what's the temperature rating on the door you bought? Some of those cheaper ones are only rated for residential temps and can't handle a serious workshop.

Ever wonder if the door ratings are just a made up number? I had a cheap one warp on me last year and it was a total mess. Good point from @patriciah99 about checking that, because workshop heat is a whole different beast. I learned the hard way that saving fifty bucks upfront just isn't worth it. Now I always look for the heavy duty industrial rating, no exceptions.

Yeah, the "heavy duty industrial rating" phoenix625 mentioned is the only thing that worked for me. I had the same warping issue until I switched to a cast iron door from a place called Alloy Works. It cost more, but it's been solid for over a year now with my forge running hot.
