Hot take: That perfect furnace run in Flagstaff last October ruined my local shop for me.
Everything just clicked for a week straight, no punts, no seeds, and the color fades were insane. My main shop's ventilation can't match that dry mountain air at all. Anyone else have a location that just makes the work sing?

I mean, is it that deep though? It was one good week in a whole different climate. Maybe it's just me but chasing that one perfect setup seems like a way to never be happy with your normal spot.

Yeah exactly, chasing that perfect setup is a total trap (I've fallen for it before with gear and just ended up frustrated).

You know, I used to feel exactly the same way. What changed for me was realizing that perfect week showed me what was possible, and now I know my normal spot can be better. It's not about being unhappy where I am, it's about knowing what to look for to get close to that feeling again. That one week gave me a real target instead of just guessing. So now I tweak little things trying to find it, and sometimes I get pretty close. It actually makes the normal days more interesting.
