Am I the only one who sees color differently after blowing glass for 3 years?

I was mixing a batch of cobalt blue frit in my Seattle studio last week and suddenly realized I can spot the exact shade in car paint and street signs now. Has working with colorants changed how you see the world too?

Nah, it's the opposite for me. After doing pottery for so long, all the colors just blend together now. Like I see a sunset and my brain just calls it "warm glaze" instead of picking out the reds and oranges.

My photography teacher made me do a week where I only shot in black and white. It forced my brain to see shapes and light again instead of just color names. Maybe try something like that with your pottery, like only working with raw clay for a bit?

Totally get that, it's like your eyes get retrained. I actually agree with @the_karen a bit, where things just become material colors after a while.
