Just noticed a weird pattern with komodo dragon feeding times at the zoo

Last month I went to the San Diego Zoo three times and every time I got there around 2 PM the komodo dragons were just laying there not moving. Then last Tuesday I showed up at 10 AM and they were actually walking around and eating. I asked a keeper named Steve and he said they feed them at 9 AM sharp. Has anyone else noticed big lizards being way more active early in the day?

Hang on, let's not act like this is some huge discovery. Reptiles are cold blooded. They need the morning sun to warm up and get moving, that's literally Biology 101. Most zoos feed their big lizards early while they're still active, otherwise they'd just sleep through their meals. The keeper telling you 9 AM is just standard protocol for any reptile house. I've been to a dozen different zoos over the years and this is how it works almost everywhere. Your mileage may vary but honestly it's not really that serious or weird.

Yeah agreed, same thing at our local zoo. They always feed the monitors first thing.
