Checked out a new offroad trail in Moab last weekend and noticed something odd

I finally hit up the Poison Spider Mesa trail in Moab for the first time last weekend. It was a solid 8 hour run with my buddy in his lifted Jeep. What really caught my attention was how many people were driving without any recovery gear at all. I saw a guy in a stock Tacoma try to climb a ledge and he nearly flopped over, no straps or winch in sight. We helped him out with my come-along, but it took us 30 minutes to get him unstuck. Has anyone else seen this trend where folks go out with just a dream and no prep? I'm wondering if it's just newer folks thinking any 4x4 can handle Moab easily.

Poison Spider's got a tricky section called the waterfall around mile 4 that'll humble anyone quick. My buddy rolled his FJ there two years ago because he thought his factory skids were enough. The real issue I'm seeing is people watching YouTube edits of guys hitting those ledges at speed, but those videos never show the 45 minutes of winching and stacking rocks to get the shot. Without a high lift jack and some kinetic rope, you're basically gambling your whole trip on luck.

Yeah @cameron963 nailed it, those YouTube edits are basically offroad porn with all the boring parts cut out. Saw a guy last month with a brand new Bronco and zero straps, like he thought the factory tow hook was a fashion accessory.
