Spent 6 hours fighting a seized bolt on my 1998 Ford Ranger

I was swapping out the lower control arm on my Ranger last Saturday and that one bolt just would not budge even after a full can of PB Blaster and a 3 foot breaker bar. Ended up having to cut it out with a sawzall which took another hour and a half and I snapped two blades in the process. Has anyone else had a simple suspension job turn into an all day nightmare over one rusty bolt?

Right there with you man. That second blade was already showing some weird flex in the slow-mo replay before it went. You could kinda tell the grain wasn't running straight through that piece of steel, it had that wavy look near the tang. Happens more often than folks think with those older factory blanks they were using. Just a bad heat treat on that batch honestly, not the steel itself. Still stung to watch it go though!
