My new smartwatch buzzed during a movie in Denver and now I never miss a text.
I was at the Alamo Drafthouse last month and felt the vibration on my wrist instead of hearing my phone ring, which totally saved me from getting the stink eye from the staff.

Totally get that, my watch saved me at a funeral last year when my mom kept calling. Felt the buzz and could just tap to ignore it without making a scene. It's a game changer for places where you really need to be quiet. I don't know how I ever went to a movie or a show without one.

Funerals are rough enough without phone drama. Had a similar thing happen at my cousin's wedding. My sister's phone went off full blast during the vows. Some pop song ringtone too. Whole church turned to stare. She was mortified. A silent buzz on the wrist would have saved her a lot of shame that day.

Remember when phones used to actually ring in public? My old brick phone went off in a library once playing the default marimba tune at full volume. Pretty sure I aged ten years from the dirty looks alone. A smartwatch would have saved my teenage self from that special kind of public shame. Now I just get a quiet tap if something's urgent. It's a small thing but it keeps me from being that person everyone hates.
