My new smart scale bricked itself after a firmware update last Tuesday.
It just shows a blank screen now, and the company's support told me to wait for another update, which is pretty useless when you need to weigh something.

That's not bricked, just broken. Bricked means it's totally dead, like a doorstop.

Ugh, this is a pet peeve of mine. Bricked means NO recovery, zero life, like a BIOS corruption. Broken could just be a bad screen or a dead battery, something you can maybe fix. People throw "bricked" around way too much.
