My friend told me his smart scale called him 'a bit dense' after a firmware update.

He showed me the screen and it literally said 'user density: high' instead of body fat percentage. Anyone else get weirdly judged by their gadgets lately?

My buddy's car GPS told him he was "persistently inefficient" after a few wrong turns. It rerouted him past a gym and a salad place. He said it felt like a really passive aggressive intervention.

Honestly that's just brutal. My scale once told me to 'make better life choices' after a holiday weekend.

The scale calling you out like that is just wrong, I don't blame you for feeling some type of way about it. @the_andrew, that thing really has no filter, it's like it knows exactly when to hit you with the worst timing possible. My friend had a smart mirror that told her she looked tired once, and she unplugged it for a week as punishment. That kind of passive aggressive tech makes you wonder if we're really ready for AI to be judging our life choices on a daily basis. Just remember those things can't even fold laundry or pour a glass of water without messing up, so maybe take their comments with a grain of salt.
