I was reading a review that called the new smartwatch 'life changing' and it made me laugh
It was on a big tech blog last Tuesday, and the writer went on for three paragraphs about how this watch's new sleep tracking feature 'redefined his mornings'. He said it gave him a 'sleep animal' and that knowing he was a 'restless dolphin' changed his whole routine. I've had the same model for about four months now, and honestly, it just tells me I slept bad. It doesn't tell me why or how to fix it. The review felt more like an ad for a feeling than a real look at the gadget. It made me think, how many reviews are just selling a dream instead of the actual tool? Has anyone else bought something because a review made big promises, only to find it's just another thing that beeps at you?

My friend bought a super expensive air purifier because a review said it made their home feel like a mountain cabin. They swore they could "taste the clean air." She got it and it's just a quiet white box in the corner. She says the only difference is a blue light that glows now. It didn't change her life, it just added another thing to dust. She laughs about it now, but it was a lot of money for a blue light and a feeling she bought into.

Oh man, my buddy got a fancy blender after reading a review that said it would make him love mornings. He used it twice and now it just takes up space next to his old one.
