I finally got my money back for that fitness tracker that never worked right
I saw a review for a cheap fitness band online and bought it for $35. It arrived, and the step counter was way off from the first day. I spent a week trying to sync it properly, resetting it over and over. The company's support just sent me the same troubleshooting PDF three times. I had to file a claim with my credit card company to get the charge reversed. Has anyone found a good, basic tracker that actually works without all the hassle?

My last cheap tracker was so bad it counted steps while I was asleep. Pretty sure it thought my heartbeat was a brisk walk. Good on you for getting your money back, that's a win. I gave up and just use my phone now, it's not perfect but at least it's free. The whole thing made me feel like a tech support guinea pig.

Ever wonder why they even sell those things? They're basically just random number generators with a wristband. You're smart to just use your phone.

Right! It's like everything these days has to have a screen and pretend to be smarter than it actually is. They sell them because people feel like they need a gadget for something their brain already does naturally.
