Appreciation post: My phone's battery life went from dead by 3pm to lasting all day after I turned off background app refresh for 12 apps last month.
I finally checked my battery usage stats and saw Instagram and a weather app were the biggest drains, so I switched them to only update when I open them and the difference is honestly wild, has anyone else found one specific setting that made a huge difference?

My old iPhone 11 would barely make it to lunch. I went into location services and turned off precise location for every single app that didn't absolutely need it, like maps. That one change added a solid two hours to my battery life easy. It's crazy how many apps are constantly pinging your location in the background for no real reason.

Honestly turning off background app refresh helps a ton too.
