Honestly that math doesn't work for me. Fifteen bucks is like three fancy loaves from the bakery, and a homemade one costs way less in ingredients. The real cost is the time and effort, which some people enjoy. But if your power bill actually spiked that much, maybe your oven runs really inefficient.

Nah, that power bill jump seems wild. My oven's old and it never added that much for a few loaves a week. I'm with @the_oscar on the happiness thing, but for me it's more about knowing exactly what's in my food. The smell alone is worth a couple bucks.
