Preheating the mold worked for me too.

Is preheating the mold really that big of a deal? I've never done it and things work out okay. What could go wrong?

Ever had a bar come out with weird spots or a dull finish? That's often from a cold mold. Sure, it might work sometimes, but why risk a whole batch when a quick warm-up fixes it?
