Serious question, has anyone else switched from sand molds to ceramic shell for small runs?
I always thought ceramic shell was just for fancy art pieces and a waste of money for our shop. Then we got a job for 50 custom bronze parts last month and the detail was crazy. We tried it on three test pieces and the surface finish was so smooth we saved four hours of grinding each. What other jobs is this actually good for besides the obvious stuff?

Told you it wasn't just for art stuff.

I saw that post about using baking soda for cleaning drains. People act like it's some magic fix but it only works for minor clogs. If you have real buildup from hair or grease, you need a proper drain snake. I tried the baking soda and vinegar trick once and it just made a fizzy mess that did nothing.

Right? I found that out the hard way too.
