Hot take: I blew $300 on a 'high-temp' apron that melted in under a week

Bought it for a big pour we had going, and the stitching gave out after the third shift. Anyone know a brand that actually holds up to 1600 degrees?

Sounds like you just got a bad one. Sometimes even good gear fails early, it happens. Maybe contact the company before writing off the whole brand.

The company's warranty process is actually a known issue for many users.

3 years ago I had a similar thing with a different brand where the warranty claim form asked for a serial number that was literally printed in invisible ink or something, I had to use a magnifying glass to find it. @taylorhunt I get what you mean about maybe just a bad unit, but when you call the company and they make you jump through hoops like that it starts to feel like a pattern. The whole process took me 6 weeks and two phone calls just to get a return label, and by then I had already bought a replacement from someone else.
