Trying to find the name of a show from my childhood took me almost two years

I had this clear memory of a cartoon about a kid who could talk to animals and rode a giant flying turtle, but I could not remember the title. I spent hours online searching phrases like '90s cartoon turtle taxi' with no luck. It wasn't until I described it to a coworker last month that they knew it was 'The Adventures of the Little Koala'. I had completely mixed up the koala with a turtle. Anyone else have a show they could picture but not name for an embarrassingly long time?

Honestly that sounds familiar. Tbh I usually just give up after a few searches and accept the memory loss.

Totally get that. I spent like twenty minutes last night trying to remember the name of that actor from the old sci-fi show, you know, the one with the robot? Gave up and watched cat videos instead.

Actually, @evant48, that's the worst way to handle it. Giving up just trains your brain to forget faster. You should have kept digging for the answer, because finding it locks the memory in better. Cat videos are a total cop-out.
