Remember the show 'Now and Again'? The one with the guy in the government lab...

I was watching an old VHS tape I found in my basement last weekend and stumbled across an episode of 'Now and Again' from 1999. My VCR ate the tape right at the part where the main character's daughter almost finds out he's alive. I had to manually rewind the tape with a pencil, which took forever, and it still skipped around. Does anyone else have a crummy memory of a show you loved that got cut short?

and honestly the worst part is when you finally find a grainy upload on some random site and it's like half the quality of your busted VHS tape lmao. i remember recording episodes on a blank tape my dad had and labeling it "science show" so no one would tape over it. the scene where the daughter is literally in the same room as the glass tank and he has to hide his face still gets me every time i think about it. i swear that show had some of the most tension i ever felt from network tv back then. such a bummer it got canned right when they were building up the whole conspiracy angle too.

Man that really stinks. I hate when technology ruins a good memory like that. Now and Again was such a great show, it had this perfect mix of sci-fi and family drama that just worked. Getting it cancelled after one season was a crime honestly. I still remember the episode where his wife almost catches him in the lab, that scene still gives me chills. Have you ever tried finding the episodes online? Some old shows are on YouTube or random streaming sites now.
