Just realized I've cut exactly 10,000 square feet of vinyl plank this month alone
I was cleaning up the shop last night and adding up my job sheets for the accountant. When I ran the numbers, the total for just vinyl plank cuts hit 10,000 sq ft. That's like three whole McMansions. My back feels it, and my knee pads are basically part of my body now. The weird part is, I didn't even notice hitting that number until I saw it on paper. It just snuck up from doing a bunch of those open-concept remodels in the new subdivisions. Makes you wonder what other crazy numbers we rack up without thinking. Has anyone else had a moment where the sheer volume of material you've handled just hit you out of nowhere?

Man, that's a wild amount of flooring! I started logging my daily cuts in a notebook after a month like that, just to see it coming. It helps plan for blade changes and knee pad replacements, like @riverw85 knows with truck miles, you gotta track the wear before it costs you. What's your system for keeping count?

That "crazy numbers" thing is so true. I see it with the miles on my truck, just adding up quietly while you're focused on the next job.
