Spent 3 hours cleaning a $5 vase before I found the trick
The gunk inside was so hard I almost gave up, but a soak in hot vinegar water for 45 minutes finally did it. Anyone know a faster way to get that old, caked-on residue off of glass?

I saw someone mention denture tablets, and yeah I read that tip somewhere too. They said to drop one in with warm water and let it fizz for like 20 minutes. I guess the fizzing action helps lift the gunk without any scrubbing. I mean, idk if it's faster than 45 minutes of vinegar, but it probably smells better. Maybe it's just me but I'd try that before I spent another three hours on a five dollar vase.
