Shoutout to the crusty old radio that flipped my thrifting game

I used to avoid electronics, but this $10 find works perfect. What should I look for next time I'm hunting for stuff like this?

Ever wonder what brand that old radio is? I grabbed a clock radio from a yard sale last month, thing has better sound than my phone speaker. You might try looking for one of those portable record players next, the kind with the suitcase latch. Half the time they just need a new needle and you've got a solid little music setup.

My cousin's Crosley suitcase player ruined three vintage 45s before we figured out the arm was tracking way too heavy. That constant background hum from old gear drives me nuts. For every solid yard sale find the_ray mentions, there are ten more with worn-out belts or cracked needles you can't even buy anymore. You spend more time fixing it than listening. My Bluetooth speaker just works, no static, no fuss.
