Had a goldmine Saturday at the flea market in St. Louis last month
I showed up at 6am and this old guy was unloading a box of vintage hand tools from his truck. He wanted $5 each but I grabbed 4 drawknives and a spokeshave for $20 total. Later I found a first edition cookbook from 1952 buried under some vinyl records for $3. What's the best single day haul you've ever had?

Man that's a killer haul @wright.kevin. I ain't too proud to say I'm jealous of that Stanley find. My best single day was pretty simple but it sticks with me. Found a near mint vintage Cross pen and pencil set at a garage sale for two bucks. Cleaned it up and sold it online later for a hundred and fifty just like that. Sometimes the small stuff pays off way bigger than you expect. Still think about how that guy had no idea what he had.

Man I felt that one in my bones. My best day was at an estate sale outside Kansas City, walked into a garage that looked like it hadn't been touched since 1975. Found a vintage Stanley #5 plane buried in a box of rusty files, paid a dollar. Also snagged a full set of old wood chisels with the original handles still tight for three bucks. The guy running it just wanted everything gone. Ended up leaving with a cardboard box full of machinist tools and a vintage fishing reel I cleaned up later and sold for a hundred and sixty. Still think about that morning sometimes.
