Found a weird book at the Springfield flea market that had a crazy fact in it
I picked up this old, beat-up hardcover called 'Forgotten Facts' for a dollar. Flipping through, I read that in 1973, a company made a record player that was also a fully functional toilet seat. The guy at the stall said he got it from a storage locker cleanout. Has anyone else stumbled on something that made you go 'wait, what?'

It's wild how many truly bizarre inventions get made and then just vanish. Makes you wonder what weird stuff we use NOW that will seem insane in 50 years.

You know, I used to think most weird old inventions were just jokes too. But then I saw a video about those vibrating belt machines from the 50s that were supposed to shake fat off, and people took them totally seriously. It makes me look at stuff like those weird facial toning gadgets today and wonder. We're probably doing a bunch of stuff right now that future people will laugh at and say "what were they thinking?

Seems like a lot of effort for a joke product. That toilet seat record player probably broke immediately and was never meant to be taken seriously. People invent weird stuff for attention, not because the world actually needs it.
