Visited a coworking space in Austin and their cable management gave me anxiety

I was in Austin last week visiting a friend and we grabbed a day pass at this trendy coworking spot called The Domain Works. The place looked great online but when I got there, every single desk was a spaghetti mess of charging cables, monitor cords, and random USB hubs tangled together. I sat down to work for an hour and spent the first 15 minutes just trying to figure out which cable went to my laptop vs the guy next to me. They had these nice sit-stand desks but nobody bothered to route anything through the cable tray underneath. I get that it's a shared space and people come and go, but couldn't they at least tape down the main power strips? Has anyone else walked into a place that looks put together on social media but is actually a wiring nightmare in person?

The Domain Works is such a letdown. I saw their Insta and it looked super clean, but those cable piles sound awful.

Funny you say that about the Insta looking clean, @noranguyen - I had the exact same bait and switch at this coffee shop downtown. Their page showed these cute latte art photos and minimal decor, but when I walked in there were extension cords running along the ceiling like a trap house. At The Domain Works it sounds like they spent all their budget on that Instagram setup instead of hiding the ugly stuff. Reminds me of when my friend rented this "luxury" studio and had to step over cables just to get to the bathroom. Makes you wonder if any of these places actually walk through their own space before taking photos.
