Finally hit 0 tangled cables under my desk after 2 years of mess

I just counted every cable under my desk and got to 14 - chargers, monitors, speakers, the whole mess. Took me about 45 minutes with some Velcro straps and a few zip ties from my fencing work. I ran them all along the desk legs and tucked the surge protector into a cheap cable raceway from Home Depot. Still can't believe I actually did it. Anybody else finally crack the code on their own rat's nest?

Fourteen cables? Rookie numbers, you've got to pump those up. 45 minutes sounds like a fever dream, my last attempt ended with me tangled in a mess of HDMI and a broken zip tie stabbed into my thumb. That cable raceway trick is solid though, might have to steal that for my desk that looks like a spaghetti monster exploded. I'm convinced the real code is just accepting that some chaos is inevitable, maybe a little fire hazard keeps life interesting.

Preaching to the choir on that spaghetti monster thing... I spent a whole afternoon untangling my monitor cables only to realize I'd accidentally unplugged my work laptop's charger in the process and it died on me mid-call. Ended up just shoving everything behind the desk in a big lump and calling it a day... that zip tie situation though, I've got a scar on my forearm from a similar battle with a velcro strap that snapped back at me. Fire hazard or not, at least my cables are out of sight if I just don't look behind the desk...
