Vent: my dad said to use a 3/8 inch wrench on the sink trap and I should have listened

He told me a 10mm would be close enough, but it rounded the nut. Had to cut the old trap off with a hacksaw and drive across town to the hardware store for a new one. Anyone know a better way to get a rounded plumbing nut off next time?

Wait, your dad told you to use a 3/8 and you went with a 10mm anyway? That's like the classic dad test and you failed it lol. A 10mm is so close but it's just enough to mess everything up. I've done that on a bolt before and it was a huge pain. Always listen to the old man on this stuff, he's been there.
