Pro tip: my kitchen sink drain clog was a $5 fix, not a $200 plumber call

The pipe under the sink in my apartment backed up last week, and I was ready to panic. I took the P-trap apart, found a solid plug of grease and coffee grounds, and cleared it with a coat hanger in about 20 minutes. Why do we always assume the worst and reach for the phone first?

My old laptop was a slow mess until I just wiped it and did a clean install. We're so used to buying new stuff we forget the simple reset button.

That feeling of needing to call a pro right away is so common now. It happens with tech problems, car noises, even basic home stuff. We're sort of trained to think every issue needs a specialist and a big bill. Your sink story is a perfect example of how a little time and a free tool can fix what seems like a disaster. Makes you wonder what other simple solutions we skip because we assume it's over our heads.

My car's "check engine" light was just a loose gas cap.
