Fixed a sticky door hinge with a dime and it actually worked
Our back door in the bathroom got so swollen from humidity it wouldn't close right. I remembered someone online saying to stick a dime under the hinge pin on the top hinge and bend it slightly. Popped the pin out, wedged a 2015 dime I found in the couch, put it back together and now it swings perfect... no more calling a handyman for a $150 service call. Has anyone else tried weird coin tricks that saved a repair?

Had the same thing with a 2012 penny and never looked back.

Right? One weird coin and you're suddenly checking every handful like you're a part-time detective. My bank teller probably thinks I'm losing it when I bring in rolls of pennies to exchange lol.
