Figured out why my toilet was running all night after 3 trips to Home Depot

I spent like 2 hours last Tuesday replacing the flapper and the fill valve in my toilet because it kept running randomly. Come to find out the chain on the flapper was just a tiny bit too long, catching on itself and not sealing right. Trimmed off maybe a half inch with some scissors and it's been quiet ever since. Anyone else ever overthink a simple fix like that?

Had a buddy who spent a whole weekend ripping apart his bathroom sink because the water pressure was terrible. He replaced the faucet, the supply lines, even the shutoff valves under the house. Turned out the aerator was just completely clogged with sediment from the water heater. He was so mad he just sat there staring at the parts for like 10 minutes.

My fridge started making noises last week - took me two days to realize the ice maker was just frozen.
