Was skeptical of post hole diggers with handles, but changed my mind on a job in Austin
Ngl, I always thought those expensive post hole diggers with the extra handles were just a gimmick. Then last month I had to put in 12 fence posts in rocky Texas soil near Austin and my arms were shot after the third hole. Borrowed a bulb planter style digger from a guy on the crew and it saved me at least 20 minutes per hole. Has anyone else found a tool they slept on that actually works?

Honestly, I feel your pain on that rocky Texas soil. I had a similar moment with a roofers' hammer that had the magnetic nail holder - thought it was a joke until I was trying to set nails one-handed on a steep pitch. That little magnet saved me so much frustration it's ridiculous. Sometimes the simple upgrades are the ones you don't realize you need until you're in the thick of it.

That little magnet makes you wonder why more tools don't come with simple tricks like that.

Tbh the roofers hammer with the magnet isn't really a trick, it's more of a standard feature at this point. But yeah, totally agree that simple upgrades like that are easy to overlook until they save your day.
