Question about using a standard post driver on a rocky slope in Colorado
I always thought a manual driver was fine for any soil until last Tuesday, when I hit a hidden shelf of granite at a 20-degree angle near Boulder and the shock nearly broke my wrist, so what's the best tool for steep, rocky ground that won't send you to the chiropractor?

Yeah that's brutal, I'd look at a rock drill attachment for a demo hammer, way less kickback on that hard stuff.

Way less kickback" sounds like the dream. My last attempt at hard material felt like fighting a jackhammer that was winning. I should probably just stick to softer projects.

Hah, sounds like you were wrestling a concrete monster. @umam95 has the right idea, that rock drill attachment is a game changer for that stuff. Otherwise you're just asking for a bad time.
