Got called out for my post hole spacing on a vinyl job in Charlotte
Honestly, a homeowner watched me set my lines and said my 8-foot spacing looked too far apart for the wind load we get. I checked the manufacturer specs again and he was right, they wanted 6-foot centers for that height in our zone. I redid the layout before digging, which added about 2 extra posts for the whole run. Has anyone else had a client catch a legit code or spec issue you missed?
