Chat with an old timer about post hole diggers...

Was talking to a guy who's been doing fences since the 80s over in Lancaster. He said he never uses a gas auger anymore, just a sharp shovel and a clamshell digger. Said it's more accurate and he can feel the rocks before he hits them. Has anyone else gone back to manual digging or am I crazy for considering it?

My dad lost half his hearing from years on the rigs, so yeah.
