Went back to sketching with pencil and paper after 2 years of digital only
I used to think digital was the future for fashion design, but last week I grabbed an HB and a sketchpad for a quick drape idea. The hand control and line quality came out way more natural than my tablet work. Has anyone else noticed a difference going back to analog tools?

Hate to disagree but I actually find digital gives me cleaner line control once I got used to the pressure sensitivity. I sketch fashion flats in Procreate and the undo button saves me from starting over when a sleeve comes out wonky. Paper has that organic feel for sure, but for me the tablet lets me iterate faster on silhouettes without burning through a whole sketchbook in one afternoon.

Is it bad that I keep my tablet plugged in mainly so I can undo my entire life's mistakes with a double tap? I swear, the undo button has saved me from more sketchbook-related meltdowns than I care to admit. But yeah, paper still wins for doodling during meetings when I want to look busy without the glow of a screen giving me away.

Three years into digital here and I still pick up my Wacom stylus and accidentally try to erase with my finger like its a pencil eraser. The muscle memory is brutal but you are spot on about the undo button being a lifesaver. I remember rage-tossing a sketchbook across my studio after messing up a sixth croquis in a row. Now I just tap twice and move on. Paper has that soulful feel but digital saves my sanity on tight deadlines. Does your hand ever cramp up after long Procreate sessions though?
