Swapped my sketchbook for a digital pad 2 months ago

I used to draw all my garment flats on paper, then trace them into illustrator which took forever. Last September I got a cheap drawing tablet off facebook marketplace for $40. Now I sketch straight into the program and save like 3 hours per design. Anyone else found a faster way to get their ideas down?

Did you mean 'flats' like sewing patterns or something else?

I picked up a used pair at a thrift store for 12 bucks and they worked fine.
