Rant: That time a tailor told me my seams looked like a toddler sewed them
Last month I was showing off a dress I made to a local tailor in Portland and she straight up said my seams looked like a toddler sewed them. I was SO mad at first but then I looked closer and she was right. I was using too long of a stitch and not pressing after each step. Now I use a 2.5 stitch length and press everything before moving on. Has anyone else had a tailor give you harsh but honest feedback that actually improved your work?

Wait, are we really supposed to be that offended by someone being honest about our stitching? It sounds like she actually helped you get better which is more than most people would do.
