Last month I swore velvet was just for costumes until I saw a friend's blazer
I was at a thrift store in Portland and my buddy tried on this dark green velvet blazer from the 80s. The way it caught the light and hung on his shoulders completely changed my mind. Has anyone else had a fabric they hated until they saw it on the right person?

Velvet's basically just fancy corduroy when you think about it.

Woah I never thought of it that way but you're totally right, it's basically the fancy party version of corduroy with the same kinda fuzzy vibe.
