Had to choose between vegan leather and real leather for my first jacket
I was making my own jacket pattern for the first time and got stuck picking between a $40 vegan suede from a shop in Portland and a $70 real leather hide. I went cheap with the vegan stuff, thinking it'd be easier to sew and more ethical. After two weeks, the seams are already fraying and the color is rubbing off on my white shirts. Has anyone else had better luck with a specific vegan option that actually holds up?
