The hoof I trimmed in April looked like a different foot by July
The owner finally started using the correct feed after I showed them the pictures, and the new growth came in solid. Anyone else had a client's diet change make that big a difference that fast?

Man, that's wild... seeing the proof in pictures really is the only thing that gets through sometimes, isn't it? It's crazy how fast you can see that new, good growth come in once they finally listen. Good on you for sticking with it and getting them to make the change. Makes all the frustration worth it.

Yeah, the "proof in pictures" part is so true. People can argue with words all day, but a photo just shuts that down. It really does make the whole fight feel worth it in the end.

Hang on, I'm going to push back a little here. That new growth in July might look better, but three months isn't really long enough to be sure the diet change is the whole story. Hooves change with the seasons and with the weather and with how much work the horse is doing - all that stuff matters just as much as feed. A lot of times owners jump on the "miracle feed" bandwagon when really the horse just got better because the ground dried out or the movement changed. Pictures can be misleading too if the lighting or angle is different, making it look like a bigger improvement than it is. Not saying the feed didn't help at all, but I'd want to see a full year of consistent growth before giving the diet all the credit.
