My scrap wood tool rack works better than any fancy one you can buy
I put it together years ago and it still holds all my rasps and hammers perfectly, so I don't see the point in spending a lot on branded organizers.

Mike's scrap wood rack outlasted every store-bought one he tried.

You know, the best part about homemade racks is how they evolve with your shop (mine started as a nail holder and now has slots for chisels). Commercial ones force a layout, but scrap wood lets you tweak it whenever you get a new tool. That adaptability beats any preset design, plus you're not stuck with empty spaces for tools you don't own.

Exactly! @the_andrew That evolution turns your rack into a living record of your tool collection's growth, way better than any store-bought layout.
