Spent 45 minutes fighting a zipper before my neighbor showed me a 10 second trick
I was trying to fix a stuck zipper on my winter jacket and it just would not budge. After 45 minutes of tugging and swearing, my neighbor knocked to borrow something and saw me. He grabbed a bar of soap, rubbed it on the zipper teeth, and it slid right open. Honestly, I felt pretty dumb but now I keep a little sliver of soap in my coat pocket just for that.

Swiped a crayon off my kid's art desk once when my zipper got stuck in a hotel room. Worked exactly like that soap trick. Just rubbed the wax side along the teeth and it slid right open. Your mileage may vary but wax or soap is the secret weapon. I keep a birthday candle stub in my bag now after that. Cheap fix but saves me from buying a new jacket every time a zipper acts up.

Yeah the crayon thing is kinda wild honestly. I tried chapstick once instead of wax or soap and it worked better than I thought it would. Chapstick has that waxy base and its way easier to apply than trying to rub a candle on there without snapping it. Also if you have dry lips you can use it later which is a bonus lol. Just dont use the minty ones because that gets weird on fabric.
