I finally figured out why my bathroom mirror fogs up so bad after a hot shower

I was staying at a motel near Kansas City last month and noticed their mirror stayed crystal clear no matter how steamy it got. The front desk guy told me they just rub a thin layer of shaving cream on the glass and wipe it off before the shower. Has anyone else tried this trick or got a better fix that actually works for longer than a day?

Huh I read somewhere that shaving cream works because of the soap film blocking moisture.

My buddy Mike swore by this method until his girlfriend used sunscreen instead of shaving cream by accident and it left a greasy film for weeks. He said the shaving cream worked like magic for about 3 days before needing a reapply though. Did you give it a shot yet or you still looking for something more permanent?
