Hit $350 in savings from meal prepping just 3 weeks in a row

I kept seeing people talk about meal prepping saving money but I didn't believe it... so I tried it for real. I tracked my spending for 3 weeks and realized I was dropping $12 a day on lunch alone at the deli near my office. Now I make 5 sandwiches and 5 salads every Sunday for about $25 total. That's like $350 saved so far and my grocery bill barely went up. Has anyone else seen their bank account grow just from packing lunch?

The thing is, once you start meal prepping, you also stop impulse buying stuff at the grocery store during the week. I used to run in for just milk and walk out with $40 of random snacks and frozen pizzas. Now I have a list and I'm in and out in ten minutes. That extra time I'd spend wandering the aisles I can just use to relax instead. Plus I don't end up throwing out half the produce I forgot about in the crisper drawer. It's wild how much less food waste happens when you actually plan what you're going to eat.

Funny how small habits add up without us even noticing... always the little stuff that drains the wallet.
