Warning: Do your prebooking BEFORE the client leaves the room, not at the front desk

Had the worst Tuesday ever. Client finished her facial, I walked her out to the front to book her next one, and she got distracted by her phone blowing up. Said she'd call later. Three weeks now and still no call back. That's a solid 80 bucks I probably just lost because I didn't grab my tablet and book her right there in the treatment room while she was still relaxed. Any of you guys ever lose a regular this way?

Oh man, I gotta push back on this a little. You're making it sound like it's a rule, but honestly, some clients really hate being cornered right after a service. They're all relaxed and blissed out, and the last thing they want is to feel pressured into booking again before their brain comes back online. I've had clients tell me they appreciate having space to check their schedule and think about it, and they come back because I didn't push. Yeah, you lost that booking, but maybe she's just busy or forgetful... sometimes a follow up text a day or two later works way better than rushing them at the door. I just don't think it's a one size fits all thing, you know?

Does that soft approach ever backfire though? Like do you worry they just slip through the cracks and never come back?
