Used a high-frequency machine on active acne and ended up with burns that took 6 days to heal
I thought zapping a breakout with the HF wand would dry it out faster but instead it left red marks that crusted over, has anyone else had that happen with their device settings?

@taylorlewis nailed it with the crusting thing. It's like how people think MORE pressure on a zit will pop it faster but it just makes everything angrier. Same energy as scrubbing a stain HARDER when you should just dab it. The HF wand works great but you gotta treat it like a delicate tool not a zap gun. Took me three burns to learn that patience is the real secret ingredient in skincare.

Yeah the crusting over part is pretty normal with those wands if you hold it too long in one spot. I did the same thing on my chin and it looked way worse than the actual pimple for like a week.
